Founded by a couple who grew up cherishing Nasi Padang as a special treat, Asam Tree was born from a simple dream: to make delicious, quality Malay cuisine accessible and affordable for everyone.

Right from the beginning, Asam Tree made their own chilli rempah for their dishes, staying true to traditional recipes while perfecting each one through many rounds of refinement. The dishes are crafted with understanding of Singaporeans’ tastebuds!

From its humble beginnings as a cosy café beside Ang Mo Kio MRT, Asam Tree has grown into a trusted name among families and food lovers. Their signature sambal, flavourful Mutton Rendang, and fragrant Ayam Masak Merah have won over loyal fans across seven locations islandwide.
